Readopoly
Creating some space in your summer break for reading a good book! This year, we have an exciting twist on Readopoly. Kids will embark on an adventure filled with reading books and completing fun book related tasks. Every participant who returns their board will receive a small prize and be entered into a draw for our fantastic book prizes.
You have 6 weeks to complete! Make sure to bring back your boards back by Saturday the 18 of January 2024 to go into our awesome prize draws. Boards can also be submitted digitally by email mchl.bookings@mdc.govt.nz
Winners announced on MCHL social media on Monday 20 of January 2025 and prior to this winner will also be contacted directly.
Please be aware that the availability of boards is determined by demand.
Age Categories - must be aged 3+
Under 5’s, 5-7s, 8-10s, 11+
How to play Readopoly:
1. Write your name, age, and phone number in the space provided.
2. Roll the dice to find out how many spaces to move your astronaut.
3. Look at the colour of the tile you’ve landed on and find the same-coloured activity in the key down the side of the board.
4. Once you’ve completed the activity, write the property/tile name on the log on the back of the board.
5. Once you collect one of each colour property, you can hand in your board for one entry into the prize draw, and a small bonus prize or you can hang onto your board and collect every property for three entries and a small prize.
