Youth Activities

We recognise the Youth in the Manawatū need a place to call their own, so we created a Space for Youth. The room, known as Te Whanga (the bay). This space is designated for those aged 11+ and is available during staffed hours and through Open Plus.

• Play PS4 or Nintendo Switch co-op with friends
• Hang out with friends or make new friends
• Use technology (Chromebooks)
• FREE Wi-Fi
• Play a guitar or a game

We partner with others to bring in programmes, opportunities and events for youth to participate in. These will often take place in the other meeting rooms at Te Āhuru Mōwai.
