MCHL Showcases Local Talent

From 3D prints to handmade creations, some of Manawatū’s most creative locals will be showcasing their work in Te Āhuru Mōwai this June and it is free to attend.

Manawatū Community Hub Libraries (MCHL) will host its first ever Makerspace Showcase on Saturday 13 June from 10am to 1pm, celebrating the innovation and creativity that’s been growing within the Makerspace over the past year.

The event will feature a wide range of projects, including handmade products, art, and creative projects. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet local makers, purchase items, watch demonstrations, and get inspired to start their own creative journey.

The MCHL Makerspace is open to the community, with bookable access to tools, technology, and creative equipment, supporting people of all ages to explore new ideas and bring projects to life.

“The creativity we see coming through the Makerspace is always impressive,” say the Makerspace team at MCHL. “This showcase is a chance to celebrate those makers and share what they have created with the wider community.”

MCHL is also inviting applications from people who have used the Makerspace in the past year and would like to exhibit their work. Exhibitor applications close on Friday, 15 May and notified by Friday, 22 May 2026.
