Technology doesn’t have to be stressful. Free digital support is available through the Digi-Coach programme. From learning how to use your smartphone to exploring future jobs in career-focused VR sessions, it’s a chance to build confidence and find new opportunities in a relaxed and friendly environment.

A Digi-Coach is available to offer free, one-on-one support with all your digital needs. Whether it’s setting up a device, apps and emails, signing up for Skinny Jump, or even polishing a CV and cover letter, your Digi-Coach is here to help.
When and Where
- Where: In the library just look for the bright blue vest and Digi-Coach flag at the large table near the front counter.
- When: Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm. The programme runs for 12 weeks, starting on Monday 22 September and finishing on Friday 12 December.
- Drop-ins: Welcome (bookings required for VR sessions).
VR Sessions
The Digi-Coach will also run special career-focused Virtual Reality (VR) sessions, giving you the chance to explore different work experiences in an interactive way. These sessions will run on:
- 21–23 October
- 25–27 November
Bookings are essential for VR sessions. You can register online through Digital Inclusion Alliance Aotearoa’s Upcoming Classes. Select Manawatū Community Hub Libraries from the drop-down menu to find the available sessions.
About the Programme
The Digi-Coach initiative is part of a Ministry of Social Development work experience programme, delivered by Digital Inclusion Alliance Aotearoa in partnership with local libraries and community groups. It aims to make digital skills more accessible while also providing participants with valuable career experience.
