Free Family Fun Returns

Family Fun Day is returning to Feilding for its fourth year, offering a fun, free community event for families of all ages. On Sunday, 22 March 2026, from 10am to 1pm, held at Victoria Park in Feilding, hosted by Manawatū Community Hub Libraries / Manawatū District Council.

Family Fun Day has become one of the district’s most loved events, bringing the community for a morning full of connection and celebration. Expect inflatables, heaps of family-friendly activities, tasty treats, live entertainment, giveaways, and opportunities to meet local community groups and learn how to get involved. Best of all, everything at the event is completely free.

Family Fun Day is about bringing families together for a great day out with no barriers, the fun is easy, and the focus is simply on spending time together and connecting with the community says Marie Willis, Community Programmes Manager. “Whether you’re new to the area or have lived here for years, this event is a great way to discover what makes our community so special.”

Community groups, clubs, and organisations are also encouraged to be part of the day by hosting a free interactive booth at Family Fun Day. This is an opportunity to connect directly with hundreds of local families, showcase the work your organisation does, and share how people can get involved. Booth spaces are limited and available at no cost.

This day is made possible thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, especially our major sponsor, Central Energy Trust, along with local organisations that have contributed to this community event. We also extend our sincere thanks to the volunteers, clubs, and community groups whose support helps bring the day together.

If you are an individual who would like to give back, or a business interested in supporting the event through sponsorship, please contact Marie Willis marie.willis@mdc.govt.nz.
