Made for CHICAGO
Long before the audience sees the glamour of Act Three’s CHICAGO, the Makerspace has already started to bring Roxie Hart’s razzle dazzle name to life.
Precision meets creativity, as the Genesis 960R CNC router takes centre stage in Manawatū Community Hub Libraries Makerspace. Tasked with making “Roxie” in oversized letters, Matthew Hurley Makerspace Specialist has transformed sheets of plywood into bold, flawless lettering with pinpoint accuracy. Every cut is deliberate, every edge clean and exact. A standard that reflects the professionalism and capability of the space.
The Makerspace proves its worth delivering stage ready components that seamlessly integrate into a major theatrical production. Now routed, the panels move on to be painted and illuminated with LED lights by Act Three Productions.
The collaboration with Act Three Productions Palmerston North is just one example of what the Makerspace can achieve. It stands as a testament to its versatility, its precision, and its readiness to take on ambitious projects. While CHICAGO dazzles audiences with its story of fame and rivalry, the Makerspace subtly proves that behind every show stopping moment is a team capable of making it real by cutting, shaping, and delivering excellence.
