MCHL Festive Season Hours
Over the festive season, MCHL service hours will temporarily change. Please check the schedule carefully when planning your visit.
Staffed hours: 9:30am–5:30pm on 22–24 December and 29–31 December.
Open Plus access: Te Āhuru Mōwai will remain available via Open Plus on 25–28 December and 1–4 January.
After Hours Return Box (Stafford Street) will be locked from 5:30pm on 24 December to 29 December, and again from 31 December to 5 January. Please do not leave returned items outside the return box or at Te Āhuru Mōwai’s entrances.It will not be monitored by staff, and any items left outside remain the borrower’s responsibility.
Kindly hold onto your items and return them during staffed hours or via Open Plus. When visiting via Open Plus, if an item doesn’t scan at the self-checkout, please leave it at the MCHL front desk.
No late fees will apply , so you can enjoy your items a little longer over the festive season. Returning items while we are open helps keep everything running smoothly for everyone.
