NZ Music Month

Throughout May, Manawatū Community Hub Libraries is celebrating NZ Music Month by bringing local kiwi music into the heart of our community hub and at the Live Mini Concert: Feel the Sound, Taste the Town concert in Manchester Square.  Join us as we showcase local talent, support artists, and celebrate Aotearoa’s rich music culture.

What’s Happening at Te Āhuru Mōwai:

All month long, the Hub will be filled with the sounds of Aotearoa:

  • NZ music playing through our music system
  • NZ Music Month themed display featuring NZ artists
  • Check out musical instruments such as Guitars, Ukuleles, Keyboards from our Library of Things collection for free.
  • Live Performances in the Library Hub

Free lunchtime performances from local musicians and school groups.

Community Event – May Music Month Live Mini Concert

In partnership with Feilding District Promotion, we are excited to present a special evening of live music for the community.

May Music Month – Live Mini Concert: Feel the Sound, Taste the Town

Friday 15 May | 4:30pm – 7:30pm | Manchester Square

Enjoy an evening of live local music, food, and community atmosphere.

This event is part of our wider goal to extend the library beyond its walls. At Manchester Square we will be offering:

  • MCHL membership sign-ups
  • Cloud-based quick check-outs
  • Promotion of services
  • Music-themed activities and small games
  • Free resources showcasing what MCHL offers.
