Hormones, health and life after 40

MCHL is opening the conversation on hormones, health and wellbeing with an informative session on 1 November exploring the changes women experience during perimenopause, menopause and beyond.

Changes in energy, sleep, weight and mood can be a familiar experience for women navigating perimenopause and menopause, but understanding what's happening isn't always straightforward.

Manawatū Community Hub Libraries (MCHL) is bringing the conversation into the open with an upcoming session exploring hormones, lifestyle and wellbeing for women aged 40 and over.

On Sunday 1 November, certified Fasting & Lifestyle Coach and founder of Wicked Wellbeing, Wick Nixon, will visit Te Āhuru Mōwai to present The One Thing Nobody's Told You About Your Energy, Weight & Hormones at 40+.

The session will explore some of the hormonal changes women experience during perimenopause, menopause and beyond, including how these changes can affect energy levels, weight, mood and overall wellbeing.

Wick will also discuss the role of lifestyle choices and fasting, offering practical ideas and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

Whether you're experiencing these changes yourself, curious about what lies ahead or simply interested in learning more, the session offers an opportunity to explore the topic in a welcoming environment.
